For Candidates
Your next move, on your terms.
Whether you know it's time for a change or simply want to understand your options, Blackstone meets you where you are — with confidential advice, access to roles that are never advertised and a recruiter who advocates for you.
Who We Represent
Guidance shaped to where you are in your career.
Partners, associates, in-house lawyers and executives face very different decisions. Our advice reflects that.
Partners & Groups
We review your practice, portable business, rates and personal goals to build a targeted list of firms, and discuss every option with you before anything is submitted. We help your lateral partner questionnaire present you at your best, then negotiate compensation and partnership terms that reflect the market.
Associates & Counsel
Your long-term growth guides our advice. We share candid market knowledge — including current salary and signing bonus norms — without pressuring you to move faster or take any interview, and we schedule the process around your existing workload.
In-House & General Counsel
Succeeding in-house calls for different skills and brings a different culture and set of economics. We explain the trade-offs honestly, and our experience negotiating in-house offers helps you secure roles that rarely come to market.
Executives
Confidential conversations about leadership roles that are seldom advertised. We brief you fully on the organization, the mandate and the people before you decide whether to take a meeting.
Our Commitment
An advocate, not a gatekeeper.
Your confidentiality comes first
We never share your résumé or name with an employer without your explicit permission for that specific opportunity.
Honest advice, no pressure
Clear, candid guidance on the market and your options — including when staying put is the right call.
One trusted point of contact
We watch for new opportunities on your behalf and coordinate every conversation through a single recruiter, so you always know where things stand.
With you after you sign
From negotiating the offer and giving notice to checking in once you've started, we stay invested in how your move works out.
How It Works
Simple, private and on your terms.
Step 1: Introduce yourself
Share your background and what you're looking for. It might be days or a year before you're ready to move — either is fine.
Step 2: Review options together
We walk through the organizations that fit your goals, and you decide where — and whether — you are introduced.
Step 3: Interview prepared
We arrange interviews, brief you on the people, the need and the organization, and get you feedback quickly.
Step 4: Negotiate and transition
We negotiate the strongest offer the market supports and support you through resignation and your first months.
Confidential
Introduce yourself
Your information is shared only with Blackstone recruiters, and never with an employer without your permission.
FAQ
Questions from candidates.
Is there any cost to candidates?
No. Our clients engage us to find talent, so there is never a fee to candidates.
Will my current employer find out?
Not from us. We treat every candidate conversation as confidential and only share your details with a specific employer after you approve it.
I'm not actively looking. Should I still reach out?
Yes. Many of the people we place weren't actively searching. A conversation now means we can tell you when the right opportunity appears.
Can you help with a lateral partner questionnaire?
Yes. We know how time-consuming it is, so we provide practical support in completing it and advise on presenting your practice and business in the best light.
What happens after I submit my résumé?
A recruiter reviews every submission. If your background matches the roles we recruit for, we'll contact you to schedule a confidential call.
